This summer, Tread Lightly! and ROCKIN’ (Reaching Out Connecting Kids In Nature) Utah are teaming up in support of responsible outdoor recreation with exciting program opportunities offered by the Utah State Parks. This opportunity is geared toward youth ages 8-16 who haven’t had the opportunity to participate in Off Highway Vehicle (OHV’s) outdoor activities the Utah State Parks offer riders of all ages. Join Tread Lightly! at this event for an awareness workshop and educational outreach opportunity on National Get Outdoors Day in early June 2012!

Current or budding off-highway vehicle enthusiasts have an opportunity to work with Tread Lightly! to learn all about safe and responsible OHV riding and outdoor ethics. Join us at the Jordan River OHV Center on June 9th where youth will be trained by Tread Lightly! staff around TREAD program principles and guidelines. They will also get the low down on the off-highway motorcycle course at the park from State Park staff on site. Participants with an OHM may then ride the course after the orientation. Note: No OHVs or equipment will be provided for this session.
Please note: all youth participants must pass Utah State Parks online ATV certification course on their own before registering for this event.
