Windham, Ohio – Over the 2012 Labor Day weekend Tread Lightly!’s staff facilitated a Tread Trainer course in northeastern Ohio and connected with “wheeling” enthusiasts from around the state at the Southington Off Road park.
The Tread Trainer course participants were on site all weekend to share the outdoor ethics education training they received with the individuals and families on the trails and in the campsites to promote the concepts of responsible outdoor recreation and stewardship of America’s lands and waterways.
The true strength of any organization focused on effecting positive changes in the world and fulfilling the mission it was created around is built squarely on the foundation of its volunteers and members. Pictured above, one of Tread Lightly!’s enthusiastic members is putting his time and efforts behind Tread Lightly’s organizational mission of promoting outdoor ethics education and stewardship by signing up new members and friends to get involved with Tread Lightly! in a way that is meaningful to their recreational interests.
Many thanks to our hosts from the Northeast Ohio 4×4 club, Southington Off Road park, event volunteers, and the motorized and sportmen’s recreational communities in northeastern Ohio!
All the best,
Tread Lightly! Educational and Stewardship Program Staff
