There are so many ways to connect with Tread Lightly! Our staff always loves to hear about how you are spreading our principles and practicing them while you’re out playing!

We would like to invite you to connect with us on Facebook, Twitter, Youtube or WordPress. Feel free to send us a post about your favorite ways to recreate outdoors and even send us pictures of you treading lightly so we can share them with our followers.

Our newest way to connect is with Instagram (@treadlightlyteam). Feel free to follow! If you tag us in a post, we might even repost it on our feed.

Tread Lightly!® is a national nonprofit organization with a mission to promote responsible outdoor recreation through ethics education and stewardship. The organization was launched in 1985 by the US Forest Service and became a nonprofit organization in 1990. Tread Lightly!’s educational message, along with its training and restoration initiatives, are strategically designed to instill an ethic of responsibility in a wide variety of outdoor enthusiasts and the industries that serve them. The program’s goal is to balance the needs of the people who enjoy outdoor recreation with our need to maintain a healthy environment.
